Psychological Assessment and testing is used for many purposes, including diagnosis, guiding treatment, and accessing available services. Assessments differ depending on the presenting issue, and your psychologist will recommend the best assessment pathway to get the answers you need. We involve the client, parents, teachers and other treatment providers where possible.
If you’ve wondered about which professional (GP? Paediatrician? Psychiatrist?) is best to see for your assessment- check out our article here!

Why Succeed Psychology?
It can be hard to compare ‘apples to apples’ when booking a psychometric assessment. Fees vary significantly between practices. You may like to enquire about the level of training of your psychologist, a list of the tests/questionnaires that will be utilised, the number of hours allocated to your assessment, and the hourly rate charged for your assessment.
We offer exceptional quality psychometric assessments- conducted by fully registered psychologists with masters or doctoral level training. We list our testing battery on our website for you to make an informed decision.
Our pricing is transparent and straightforward. We operate on an hourly rate of $200. Your psychologist will explain exactly what is needed and why- this will be decided in consultation with you at the time of your initial assessment.
We aim to provide more than just a diagnosis. We will work with you to identify early signs of possible issues including reading past school reports or employment performance reviews. We spend time talking with parents, teachers or significant others to thoroughly understand your symptoms. Our assessments include multiple sessions spanning over approximately 10 hours, tailored to evaluate behavioural history and current functioning in a caring and empathetic way. We piece every bit of ‘evidence’ together to understand your concerns from all angles. This attention to detail allows us to make an informed decision about which psychometric testing would be most appropriate to investigate your possible condition objectively.
We use gold-standard psychometric testing batteries that have been empirically validated and shown to be reliable. These results are therefore easily understood by other treating professionals like paediatricians, psychiatrists and doctors.
We take the responsibility of diagnosis seriously. In some cases, a diagnosis is a breath of fresh air, helping an individual to see perplexing symptoms in context. For others, a diagnosis may feel like a hurdle they may never overcome. We carefully consider your individual needs and act ethically to protect your well-being first and foremost.
Our information gathering allows us to give you comprehensive recommendations for symptom management. We provide links to external sources of support. We explain cognitive and behavioural approaches to symptom management. We provide information about ‘best practice’ recommendations for your condition- including whether medication should be considered. Many clients utilise these reports when seeking medication management for their symptoms. Our reports also highlight your strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to leverage the things you excel at in education or employment, while using tools to improve in the areas of focus.
We are able to provide access to an incredible treating team to assist with cognitive and behavioural management of ADHD and ASD, from professionals who are passionate about helping clients with neurodiversity thrive.
