Monica Kim
Monica is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar who completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Clinical Psychology from Western Sydney University. She is passionate about helping individuals recognise and build upon their strengths, empowering them to improve their self-esteem and confidence so they can live in alignment with their values and goals.
She brings a warm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach to her work. Her therapeutic practice is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. She has also received training and has experience delivering the Cool Kids Program, an evidence-based manualised treatment for anxiety.
Monica has experience working in university and private clinics, providing psychometric assessments and therapy to children, adolescents and adults. She has experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, life stressors, OCD, and more. Overall, she recognises and admires the courage it takes to begin a therapeutic journey and is committed to providing compassionate and supportive care to every individual she works with.
