Ellen Cohn

Ellen is a provisional psychologist currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at Western Sydney University.

She has a strong interest in how our early experiences and relationships shape the personal stories we carry through life. Before training as a psychologist, Ellen worked as a television producer, where she developed a deep appreciation for human narratives — the turning points, challenges and meanings that influence how people understand themselves. This background informs her therapeutic style, which incorporates narrative therapy principles alongside evidence-based approaches, supporting clients in exploring and re-authoring the stories that shape their wellbeing.

Ellen takes a compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy, helping clients feel understood and supported from the very first session. She works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, identity-related concerns and life transitions. She also has experience supporting individuals with ADHD and learning-related strengths and difficulties. Her practice draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based strategies, tailored to each person’s unique needs.

Ellen values understanding the whole person, recognising that wellbeing is shaped by relationships, lifestyle, personal values and the broader context of each client’s life. She is committed to working alongside clients to build insight, practical tools and meaningful, sustainable change.
