Samira is a registered psychologist with dual postgraduate qualifications: a Master of Professional Psychology and a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has extensive experience supporting individuals across various age groups and presenting concerns. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based methods, with a strong commitment to person-centred care.
Samira is passionate about working with individuals facing complex and multifaceted challenges. Her clinical expertise includes complex trauma, mood disorders (such as depression and anxiety), personality disorders, substance use and addiction, forensic presentations, and interpersonal difficulties. She particularly enjoys working with adolescents and adults, helping them navigate the intricacies of their inner and external worlds.
Currently, Samira is expanding her focus to include couples therapy and support for individuals experiencing eating disorders. She takes a holistic, tailored approach to therapy, recognising that each person's journey is unique and influenced by many factors beyond the therapy room.
Samira integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities into her practice, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Schema Therapy. She is known for her warm, empathetic style and for fostering a strong therapeutic alliance—believing that collaboration is key to not just recovery, but long-term growth and thriving.
