Elliot Smith
Elliott is a registered psychologist who holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Macquarie University and a Master of Clinical Psychology from The University of Queensland. He has experience in both public and private settings working with clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults.
Elliott is naturally warm, easy to engage with, and tailors his treatment approach to fit each individual, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, or religion. He brings an authentic and non-judgemental presence to his work and is committed to working alongside clients at their own pace, fostering a relationship built on trust, curiosity, and compassion.
Elliott’s clinical experience includes the assessment and treatment of a variety of mental health challenges, with a particular interest in substance use, neurodevelopmental (e.g., ADHD), and trauma-related disorders. His work is informed by evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), which he integrates within a relational and insight-oriented framework. He is passionate about helping people develop greater self-understanding, psychological flexibility, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.
Elliott is preparing to undertake the Clinical Psychology Registrar program and is committed to ongoing professional development and clinical high-quality supervision.
